LBP plays a conditioning role as a conditioner

Posted by Admin | 09 Feb

LBP (lipopolysaccharide binding protein) and LPS (lipopolysaccharide binding protein) combine to form an LPS-LBP complex, and then combine with granular substances such as red blood cells; LBP can also bind directly with granular substances such as erythrocytes or LPs on the surface of granular substances such as erythrocytes; It can even directly combine with the LPS on the gram-negative bacterial membrane, and transfer these embedded particles to monocytes and macrophages so that phagocytes such as neutrophils and monocytes and macrophages can more easily swallow these embedded LPS and bacteria, which is beneficial to the host to remove pathogens and their products.

In low-concentration endotoxemia, the response intensity of cells is dependent on CD14; In high-concentration endotoxemia, cells can conduct endotoxin signal transduction through non-CD14-dependent pathways, such as CD11/CD18, L-selectin, exotic, CD55 (decay accelerating factor), scavenger receptor (SR) and other receptors, and LBP can still play a regulatory role at this time. In the case of high-concentration endotoxemia, the transport speed of LBP may be faster, and LPS may be transferred to molecules such as BPI and HDL. At this time, the detoxification function of blood and cells will also be enhanced, and LPS may be internalized into lysozyme for decomposition through SR. In addition, neutrophils also secrete human leukocyte elastase, enzymolysis CD14, CD18, and other receptors, and weaken the signal effect of endotoxin.
