1: Adjustment range
When adjusting the measuring range, if you want to change from a large volume to a small volume, turn the knob counterclockwise according to the normal adjustment method; However, if you want to adjust from a small volume to a large volume, you can first turn the scale knob clockwise to the scale beyond the range, and then back to the set volume, so as to ensure the highest accuracy of measurement. During this process, do not turn the button out of the measuring range, otherwise, the internal mechanical device will be stuck and the liquid transfer gun will be damaged.
2: Assembling gun head (liquid suction nozzle)
When putting the gun head on the liquid transfer gun, the correct method is to insert the liquid transfer gun (device) vertically into the gun head, and slightly rotate it left and right to make it tightly combined. If it is a multi-channel (such as an 8-channel or 12-channel) liquid transfer gun, the first channel of the liquid transfer gun can be aligned with the first gun head and then inserted obliquely. Shake it forward and backward to clamp it. The sign of gun head clamping is slightly more than the O-ring, and it can be seen that the connection part forms a clear seal ring.
3: Method of liquid transfer
Before liquid transfer, ensure that the pipette, gun head, and liquid are at the same temperature. When absorbing liquid, keep the pipette vertical and insert the gun head 2-3 mm below the liquid level. Before sucking, you can suck and drain the liquid several times to wet the liquid suction nozzle (especially when you want to suck the liquid that is viscous or different in density from water). At this time, two methods of liquid transfer can be adopted.
The first is the forward liquid transfer method. Press the button to the first stop with your thumb, and then slowly release the button to return to the origin. Then press the button to the first stop point to discharge the liquid, and continue to press the button to the second stop point for a while to blow out the residual liquid. Finally, release the button.
The other is the reverse liquid transfer method. This method is generally used to transfer highly viscous liquids, bioactive liquids, easily foaming liquids, or extremely small amounts of liquids. Its principle is to first inhale more than the set range of liquids, and not blow out residual liquids when transferring liquids. First press the button to the second stop point and slowly release the button to the origin. Then press the button to the first stop point to discharge the liquid with the range set, continue to hold the button at the first stop point (never press it down again), remove the gun head with residual liquid and discard it.
4: Correct placement of pipette
After use, it can be hung vertically on the liquid transfer gun rack, but be careful not to fall off. When there is liquid in the gun head of the pipette, do not place the pipette horizontally or upside down to avoid the reverse flow of liquid corroding the piston spring.
